Yes absolutely. There are a number of locations around the show ground perfect for stopping and eating a picnic, we also have several picnic benches scattered across the site including by the band stand and the Country life and Woodland area.
Dogs are allowed on the Showground on short fixed leads, no retractable leads are allowed. Dogs are not permitted in the Sheep or Goat marquees, Cattle Hall or Members Pavilion.
Assistance dogs are permitted in all areas. Dog mess can be deposited in the general waste bins.
Please do not leave your dog(s) in your car at any times.
Due to the number of people and animals at our event and the proximity to Exeter Airport the Devon County Show prohibits the take off or landing of unauthorised drones from its Showground, Car Parks and private access roads.
Yes, but please ensure you have downloaded it or if necessary taken a screen shot before you get to the gate.
We offer discounted packages for Disabled visitors with their carers. Click here to book tickets.
Carers tickets are £tbc and are only valid when accompanying a registered disabled person with a full price ticket. Evidence of carer status must be provided at the entrance.

- Carers’ Allowance Letter of Award
- Disability Living Allowance Letter (DLA)
- Personal Independence Payments (PIP)
- Armed Forces Independence Payments (AFIP)
- Valid Blue Badge

All children over 5 years old need a ticket on Thursday and Friday of the Show
Two children aged 5 to 16 are admitted free of charge with a paying adult on the Saturday of the Show without a ticket. If an adult is accompanying 3 or more children then tickets are required for the third child onwards.
We do offer a NHS discount for the Thursday and Friday of the show against adult tickets.
Details of the discount is available from local NHS Trust intranets. If it is not on your trust intranet you can obtain details by emailing info@dcshow.org from your NHS email.
Please note that this discount (and any other discounts) are only applicable to advance orders and are not available for purchase on show days either online or at the gate
The Devon County Show is an excellent place to visit as a group and offers a range of discounts and benefits for bookings of 10 or more people.

By Car – we are just 1 mile from M5 Junction 30 on A3052 – just follow the signs
By Bus – from Exeter Bus Station (Sidwell), Sidmouth, Seaton, Honiton, and Lyme Regis.

Yes, we have a cash point facility which will be located by the show office.
Yes, many of our food vendors have vegan and vegetarian food options available. Our main food areas are our Food Walk, Taste of the West area, Lime Tree and the Food & Drink Pavilion, in addition to a number of catering outlets across the showground.
Yes, all equines attending the Show must be vaccinated for Equine Flu, please see the relevant competition schedule for more details.
Gates Open:
Thursday & Friday – 7.30am – 6.30pm
Saturday – 7.30am – 6.00pm
Trade stands open from 9am every day
There are 4 main gates that can be accessed by members of the public:
Green – This is the main visitor entrance accessed from the green car parks. There is no pedestrian access to this gate from the main road.
Brown – This is the main pedestrian gate which is where most people people travelling by bike, bus, coach or walking would enter the Show.
White – This gate serves the white car parks and is positioned on the same side of the showground as Green Gate.
Yellow – This gate serves the yellow car park and is positioned next to the fairground.
Please note that tickets can only be scanned once with exception of multiday printed badges. Re-admission is only available same day at public entrances by way of an official hand stamp.
Exeter St Davids
From there you can get the 9W direct to the show every half hour or catch the 4 or 4A to the bus station and then the 9 or 9A bus service to the Show.
