Here are some common questions about attending Devon County Show

Can I bring my dog to the show?

Yes, dogs on short non-retractable leads are welcome but dogs are not permitted access to some of our features e.g. the Food & Drink Pavilion unless registered assistance dogs. Please do not leave your dog(s) in your car.

Is there disabled parking?

Yes, please display your Blue Badge to be directed to our Disabled Parking Areas, available in all car parks.

Must my horse be vaccinated for Equine Influenza to attend the Show?

Yes, all equines attending the Show must be vaccinated for Equine Flu, please see the relevant competition schedule for more details.

Is there a cash point at the Show?

Yes, we have a cash point ,Cash on the Move will also be offering an over-the-counter service in the Westpoint Hall foyer. Please note that there is a charge for cash withdrawals.

How do I become a member?

Do children need a ticket?

Two children are admitted free of charge with a paying adult on Saturday. All children over 5 years old need a ticket.

Can I fly my drone at the event?

Due to the number of people and animals at our event the Devon County Show prohibits the take off or landing of unauthorised drones from its Showground, Car Parks and private access roads.

Can I show my e-ticket on my phone?

Yes, but please ensure you have downloaded it and taken a screen shot before you get to the gate.

Can I hire a mobility scooter?

Yes, please contact Newton Abbot Community Transport on 01626 335775. Bookings must be made in advance of the Show. Availbility is often limited so we advise booking as soon as you are able

Is Vegan and/or Vegetarian food available at the Show?

Yes, many of our food vendors have vegan and vegetarian food options available.

Is the show accessible?

Yes. The vast majority of our avenues and roads are tarmaced. The majority of our parking is on grass but there is forward parking for those disaplying their Blue Badge.

Accessible easy access toilets are available in multiple locations across the showground and a raised wheelchair viewing area is available by the main arena.

All buildings including our members, Vice Presidents’, Sponsors and President’s pavillions have ramped access.

The site overall is relatively flat but does have some gentle slopes. We do also have a land train that operates around the site.

Are carers admitted free to the Show?

We offer a discounted carer ticket, carers must be able to provide relevant documentation.

Acceptable paperwork includes

  • Attendance Allowance Letter (AA)
  • Carers’ Allowance Letter of Award
  • Disability Living Allowance Letter (DLA)
  • Personal Independence Payments (PIP)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payments (AFIP)
  • Valid Blue Badge

Please note carer tickets can only be purchased at the same time as a full priced ticket

What is the nearest train station to the show?

Exeter St Davids
From there you can get the 4 or 4A to the bus station and then the 9 or 9A bus service to the Show.
