So much more for school visits
3rd March 2010There’s so much more for children to do at this year’s Devon County Show – May 20, 21, 22 at Westpoint,
FunForKidz is a great new feature bursting with hands-on activity for lively youngsters - from planting seeds to baking bread, milking Daisy, weaving willow wands, seeing chicks hatch, watching Tractor Ted DVDs and petting Crealy’s tame animals.
There is also a huge new display area for the Armed Forces, who will provide plenty of opportunities for youngsters to take part in supervised outdoor activities.
There is an abundance of traditional attractions – incredible livestock, lots of local food, ‘dig for victory’ garden displays, fashionable crafts, steam and vintage engines and lots of traditional entertainment in six rings.
Show Secretary Ollie Allen said: “The Show is a giant showcase for food and farming and gives youngsters the opportunity to connect with the countryside and those who work there through fun and entertainment.”
Special conditions for school parties include:
- Buy 10 tickets and get one free (book in advance)
- Dedicated drop off point for coaches
- Coach driver gets free entrance ticket (book in advance)
- Designated coach park
- Special senior citizens (60+) offer - buy one, get one free
· Adult group ticket prices in advance are £15.00, senior citizens £12.50 and children £5.00
· Children go free on Saturday (when accompanied by adults)
